Tundra
The subglacial climate is characterized by flat terrain, often covered in mosses and lichens.
This ecosystem constitutes approximately 20% of the Earth’s total surface area. The tundra is further divided into alpine or high mountain tundra and arctic tundra.
During the winter months, large areas of the tundra become frozen, however, as the temperature rises, these areas transform into swamps or peat bogs.
The Tundra is home to a diverse range of fauna, including seals, sea lions, polar bears and wolves. During the cooler months of the year, reindeer migrate to other regions. The region’s flora typically grows to a maximum height of 10 centimetres due to the harsh effects of the wind.
General Features
The exterior of the Tundra modular house with 3 bedrooms consists of two types of facades: the perimeter facade, which covers all the rooms longitudinally, and the facade that defines the ends
Layout
Access to the interior is through an intermediate space, which serves as both a connection and a separation between the living-dining area and the bedroom area. From the entrance, you can access the kitchen, and through the arrangement of open and closed spaces created by the shelving, you can view and access the living-dining area.
On the opposite side are the entrances to the bedrooms and bathrooms. It is a space with its own identity, from which when, upon entering, you can see the light coming through the large window at the other end, and it is joined to and separated from the living room by two bookcase/library/study or work space.
These two bookshelf areas are included in your home, and you can customize the material, choosing from options such as white melamine or wood-finish solutions, as well as lacquered or natural wood veneer finishes. If you want to make this space one of the most refined areas of the house, you can opt to panel the partition wall between the bedrooms with beech or oak wood venee.
Another connection between this room and the living room is the option to install a U-shaped fireplace that serves both areas, maintaining the continuity and openness with the living room, which is further enhanced by the separating piece of furniture.
The day area comprises the living-dining room, the kitchen, and the utility room. You can configure whether to integrate the kitchen into the dining room, allowing one of the units to be accessed from both sides, creating an office. Or, if you prefer an independent kitchen, it will be separated from the dining room, leaving a door that connects both areas.
The dining room features a large window overlooking the side garden, while the lounge area boasts a full floor-to-ceiling glass frontage with access to the back garden.
