Tundra
Typical of the subglacial climate, flat terrain, with the ground covered with mosses and lichens.
A Fifth of the emerged surface of our planet. There is the alpine or high mountain tundra and the arctic tundra.
In the tundra, large areas frozen during the winter transform into bogs or peat bogs when the temperature rises.
Seals, sea lions, white bears and wolves are some of the animals that inhabit the tundra. Other species, such as reindeer, migrate to different areas during colder times of the year. As for the flora, it does not usually exceed 10 centimetres in height due to the action of the wind.
General Features
The TUNDRA 2-bedroom prefabricated house features two types of facades, the perimeter facade that covers all the pieces lengthwise, and the one that configures the ends.
The perimeter facade is interrupted up by square and rectangular windows, creating a geometric pattern.
On the other hand, at the ends, large windows open up or large areas are covered with fixed or movable latices creating much more open facades where the gasp are more important than the solid.
You can customise the materials for both types of facades and also choose whether you want aluminium or wooden latices on the short sides to protect the windows from the sun or to increase security.
The middle section, which is lower than the others, is where you enter the house. All windows and doors are made of aluminium with thermal break and double glazing, featuring laminated glass in every window to ensure resistance to potential impacts.
Layout
Once inside, we reach the intermediate space that both connects and separates the living-dining area from the bedroom. The kitchen is accessed from the entrance area and the play of open and closed spaces created by the shelving allows for a clear view of and access to the living-dining area.
On the opposite side are the entrances to the bedrooms and bathrooms. It is a space with its own identity, through which you can see the light coming from the window at the other end. It is both connected to and separated from the living room by two bookcase/library/study/work areas.
These two bookcase areas are included in your home and you can choose the material from white melamine or wood-finish solutions to lacquered finishes or natural wood veneers. If you want to make this room one of the most prestigious in the house, you can choose to panel the wall separating it from the bedrooms in beech or oak veneer.
Another connection between this area and the living room is the option of installing a fireplace, which maintains the continuity and transparency with the living room, also created by the separating piece of furniture.
The day area contains the living-dining room, kitchen and utility room. You can choose to have a kitchen integrated into the dining room, so that one of the units can be used from both sides, creating an office.
Alternatively, if you prefer a separate kitchen, you can separate it from the dining room with a door connecting the two. The dining room features a large window overlooking the side garden and the lounge has a full floor to ceiling glass frontage with access to the rear garden.
