Duna
A Germanic word (dūno) that passed into Dutch (duin) is the etymological ancestor of dune. This term is used to refer to a hill formed by sand that is displaced and accumulates due to the action of the wind.
Its appearance varies according to the direction of the wind. These hills are created when the wind blows strongly and causes the sand to gather in a certain place.
The wind causes the dunes to move. Smaller dunes move faster than larger dunes until they catch up and merge. Wind can also cause smaller dunes to break off from a dune of significant size.
General features
In the Duna 4-bedroom modular house, the main room is the living-dining room, which serves as the core of the house, around which the rest of the rooms are organized.
Volumetrically, it is the piece with the greatest height, ensuring that its importance is conveyed to the outside in comparison to the rest.
Layout
Access to the dwelling is through a space covered by a pergola, which provides continuity between the interior and exterior via a skylight that illuminates the entrance.
The kitchen is situated next to the dining area and offers the flexibility of being configured without a door as an extension of the dining room or enclosed with a sliding door. When closed, the door makes the kitchen completely independent, while when open, it integrates the kitchen into the dining room.
Its layout allows for ample storage capacity, featuring a floor-to-ceiling furniture area that includes a fridge, oven, and microwave, along with a spacious L-shaped worktop. The kitchen is fully fitted, including a worktop, sink, and tap.
The kitchen is equipped with an induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine (located on a machinery room), refrigerator, and extractor hood. Our configurator allows you to customize the property to your exact specifications. The four bedrooms are arranged around a small hallway, which is directly connected to the living room. This layout allows the bedrooms area to be separated from the living/dining area by a sliding door.
The master bedroom features two built-in wardrobes and an en-suite bathroom. The remaining bedrooms also feature fitted wardrobes, including a luggage compartment shelf and a hanging rail. The second bathroom is shared.
All the doors in the house are filled with expanded polyurethane for greater acoustic insulation.
The finish of the doors and wardrobes can be selected from a range of options, including white lacquer or oak or beech wood veneers. The bedrooms are equipped with floor-to-ceiling windows, which are fitted with motorised blinds for added comfort and convenience.
